ABOUT
Kendra Heywood is a New York based film and stage actor that lives bi-coastal in Los Angeles and New York.
Kendra received a BA in theater performance at American University in Washington D.C. She studied at the William Esper Studio in New York City and later went onto train in Shakespeare with Roger Hendricks Simon, a founding member of the Yale Repertory, and Sybil Lines, a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company in London. In Los Angeles, she continued her studies at Berg Studios (Yale MFA Grad Professor) and The Clown School.
Kendra was the lead in the short film Love, Sick (2022) directed by Emmy award winning producer, Klimovski. It placed semi-finalist at the Oscar qualifying Rhode Island Film Festival. She appeared in several other shorts and played the outspoken and free spirited, Jess in the independent feature, Sunday Night Dinner (2022). Theatrical roles in New York City include Reggie Fluty in The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later at the Access Theatre and Juror #7 in 12 Angry Women at the Times Square Arts Center.
In her free time, Kendra enjoys long distance running, hiking, cooking healthy recipes, playing Playstation, spending time with her dog, and camping.
